This session will address some of the successes and struggles of modifying environmental curriculum to address social justice. The Environmental Justice Collective of the University of Texas at Austin's Campus Environmental Center will present the various initiatives we have undertaken.
Landscapes are an integral part of the built environment that provide a multitude of essential services such as flood control, improved water quality, climate regulation, pollination services and improved health and wellness for site users and communities. This session will highlight leadership from two distinct universities that are participating in the SITES program and using strategies that produce a more sustainable, regenerative and healthy future.
