The CEC Microfarm is the University of Texas at Austin’s first student-run, organic urban farm that only practices organic and sustainable farming techniques. The half-acre site follows a mixed-use model, split between a managed farm area and a community garden. The managed farm area contains 6 rows that are each 80 ft long, with all harvest going to the UT Outpost. The community garden contains rental plots that are maintained by individuals, academic classes, or student organizations.
