The "Connecting Students to Climate Research" workshop, facilitated by the UT-City Climate CoLab, bridges the gap between academia and municipal climate initiatives by empowering students to align their interests with meaningful research opportunities. Over the summer of 2024 the UT-City Climate CoLab met with leaders and asset managers from a dozen City of Austin departments to understand their climate research needs over short, medium, and long-term time spans. This workshop will allow students to explore those priorities and questions.
This workshop not only connects students with current climate research but also inspires them to contribute to community-focused solutions. By fostering academic-municipal partnerships, the UT-City Climate CoLab helps cultivates a new generation of climate researchers ready to tackle pressing environmental challenges.
Nominate yourself or other students to participate here.
The workshop will be held on UT’s campus during the Planet Texas 2050 Research Symposium the morning of Wednesday, February 26th.
