Learning to propagate at home opens up a whole new side of gardening. In this hands-on class, you’ll explore several propagation techniques used for native plants, including sowing seeds, taking cuttings, and dividing roots. Along the way, we’ll talk about the crucial role soil plays in plant success and how understanding it can improve your propagation results.

The session includes a guided tour of the Wildflower Center’s Nursery, an informative lecture, and hands-on practice with native species. You’ll leave with the confidence (and know-how) to start growing your own natives from scratch.

This class is designed for adults (ages 15+). Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult. Space is limited, and registration is required.
